Horses

When we were looking to buy property I was so excited at the prospect of owning a horse again. I figured that would be the "icing on the cake" if we could manage to move somewhere that was horse friendly. Now I just couldn't be happier.

There was one morning that I was walking down the road to the corrals to see the horses, GeeGee was walking beside me, and the way the sun was rising, and birds singing, I just thought to myself life just doesn't get much better than this - sounds corny, but WOW, what did I do to get so lucky? I can't believe how blessed I am.

Cats

Like most country dwellers, we also have a few cats hanging out at our place. Let me tell you about three of them....

Birmans are a breed of cat that is similar to the Himalayan in appearance; but oh so different in personality. Birmans are very laid back and affectionate, while the Himalayan often has quite the attitude. We are fortunate to have both a male and female Birman /Rag doll cross. The little male, Rascal is such an amusing personality and we are forever filming or photographing his antics. This guy is knock-dead gorgeous and should father some beautiful kittens.

Shy, the female is also quite the cat. Rag dolls are known for their laid back personality and she has that! She is the kind of cat who would be quite happy having a little girl dress her up and take her for a pram ride, compete with baby bonnet!

We also have Sassy. She is a Siamese type cat, but has a nice friendly personality. Maybe a bit more independent than the other two but she doesn't say "no thank-you" to a cuddle most of the time.

Bunnies I don't think there are many animals cuter than the English Angora Rabbit! Its also probably the hardest to keep looking nice too! But its worth it, they are such a cuddle bug and such an interesting animal to have around.
